Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepal Oil Corporation (IOC) Executive Director (ED) Gopal Khadka has resigned from his post on Thursday citing the reason that he was not given any responsibilities at the Ministry.
I was called to the ministry even though I was called back after Supreme Court’s stay order on dismissal by the Council of Ministers from the post of IOC ED, but I was denied of responsibilities, Khadka said reasoning about his resignation.
Khadka organized a press meet at the Ministry of Industry to announce his resignation. I have submitted my resignation letter to the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Matrika Yadav, effective from today, Khadka said at the press meet.
Khadka was dragged into controversies for involving in the misappropriation of properties while purchasing land plots for the corporation in various areas for the storage purpose.
