Ani contributes 10 million to displace the tuin

Kathmandu, Nepal: Singer of most popular song “Phoolko Aankhama Phoolai Sansara……” Ani Choying Drolma has contributed Rs 10 million to displace the tuin, rope bridges from the country.

Ani, who is also the renowned Buddhist nun,  handed over the amount to the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at a program entitled “Prime Minister with the People” launched by the Nepal Television on Wednesday night.

Prime Minister Oli had announced to displace all the rope bridges by suspension bridges during his first term as the Prime Minister on October 11, 2015.  But, no tangible progress is made yet though Prime Minister Oli had made commitment to accomplish the task within a year. 

During the function Ani not only announced the amount to handover the government but also extended her best wishes to the government to live up the commitments made before the people. 

While accepting the amount, Prime Minister Oli announced to contribute his one month’s salary while program presenter Manoj Pandey also announced to contribute Rs 50,000 to the fund established to displace the tuin from the country.
