A wild elephant calf separated from a herd terrorizes on Assam road

Guwahati : While the wild elephant menace continues in central Assam, a wild elephant calf who was separated from a herd of elephants has terrorized at Thepelaguri area along Hojai-West Karbi Anglong district border on Sunday morning.

The wild elephant calf came out to the PWD road at Thepelaguri area and terrorized for an hour.

The elephant calf has destroyed a motorcycle on the road.

Later, the forest department personnel have managed to run the elephant calf to nearby forest area.

On July 4 last, a wild elephant had terrorized on National Highway 36 at Kathiatoli Rengbeng area in the central Assam’s Nagaon district.

The elephant came from nearby forest area under Kathiatoli forest range office and crossing the National Highway.
