Guwahati: The name of around 40 lakh people of 3.29 crore applicants were missing in the complete draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) published on July 30 can submit their claims in a prescribed form and also to file objection any ineligible name that has been included in the list.
People whose name have been not figured in the list to know the reasons why their names excluded in the list and the claims and objections process have been started across the state from Friday.
The claims and objections process have been started at 2500 NRC Seva Kendras across the state and claims, objections and correction forms will be received from August 30, 2018 to September 28, 2018 in the prescribed
There will be separate forms for claims, objections and corrections.
Claims, objections and correction forms will be made available at the 2500 NRC Seva Kendras and available for download from www.nrcassam.nic.in from today.
According to the NRC authorities, if an applicant wants to know for non-inclusion of names in the complete draft, they can submit an application to the Local Registrar of Citizen Registration (LRCR) at the designated NRC Seva Kendra asking for the reason.
As per reason of non-inclusion, the applicants can submit their claims with additional documents or with the same documents as submitted earlier.
Those applicants who had submitted NRC applications until August 31, 2015, they can submit claims.
Corrections can also be made in any errors in spellings of names, age, addresses details etc.
Inclusion of any child born to an applicant after August 31, 2015 cann’t be done through claims.
Similarly, if any applicant died after application form submission, their names will not be excluded from the complete draft NRC
Claims and objections can only be submitted at the NRC Seva Kendras and not online.
