Guwahati, July 19 : While the BJP-led both centre and state government demanded their success as to bring several militant groups of the North Eastern region into peace agreement, some militant groups have threatened to take up arms again and alleged that the government has failed to fulfil their demands.

“The government had set up few designated camps after the organisation came into peace process and all cadres of the organisation have been forced to
live in these designated camps. But the cadres have faced lots of problems in the designated camps as the problems of drinking water, foods etc. The government has failed to provide facilities to the cadres who lived in the designated camps. The government had urged the organisation to come into peace process,” the KPLT leader said.

Rudra Bikram said that, what they (government) want peace or unrest?

“If the process is going on this way, we will take other way. We will take arms again,” the KPLT leader said.

The outfit group had observed martyr day at the designated camp at Baithalangso area in West Karbi Anglong district on July 17.

It is to be mentioned that, KPLT had laid down arms in 2014 and declared ceasefire.
