Guwahati, November 13 : An powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast killed two Assam Rifles jawans and injured seven others in Manipur’s Chandel district along with Indo-Myanmar border on Monday morning.
According to the reports, suspected militants had triggered the explosion at around 6-30 am on an Assam Rifles patrolling party.
Two Assam Rifles jawans killed in the blast and seven others wounded.
Meanwhile, army chopper has been called in to evacuate the area.

Militants had carried out series of attacks in the north eastern Indian
state on security forces this year.
On June 30 last, one Assam Rifles jawan was killed and 3 others injured in an IED blast in Ukhrul district, while one jawan killed and 4 others injured in another blast on June 15 last in the state.
