Guwahati : Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home minister Amit Shah of using the trishul of Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Income Tax to attack their opponents.
Addressing a press conference held in Guwahati, Jairam Ramesh said that – "NDA is inching towards majority in Rajya Sabha and Mr. Amit shah and Mr. Narendra Modi have a powerful instrument in their hands, the 'trishul'."
"In trishul, there are three, what are these – ED, CBI, Income Tax. You poke this trishul, you will get majority," Jairam Ramesh said.
The Congress leader further said that – "We are fighting in political battle. We will fight in parliament, outside parliament, we will create an alliance with right minded parties, left parties with us, Trinamool Congress with us, other parties may come, may not come, depends on them. Our opposition is not political opposition. Our opposition is principle opposition," Ramesh said.
