Civil society urges govt. and parties to save Dr. KC’s life

Kathmandu, Nepal: Considering to the deteriorating health condition of agitating senior orthopedic surgeon Dr Govinda KC, Civil society members have on Tuesday urged the government and political parties representing in the parliament to be serious to save his life.

Issuing a press release on Tuesday, the civil society members have urged the government and political parties representing in the federal parliament to incorporate demands of Dr KC while endorsing the National Medical Education bill in the parliament.

The appeal of the civil society has come at a time when Dr KC's heath condition begun to deteriorate. Dr. KC’s 16th hunger strike enters its 8th day on Tuesday.

Former Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Sushila Karki, Senior advocate Damannath Dhungana, senior journalist Bhairab Risal, Educationalist Professor Dr. Kedar Bhakta Mathema and many others have signed in the appeal issued urging the government and the political parties to save the life of Dr. KC.
