Deadly bird flu detected in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 19, 2019: With the detection of the bird flu,   which is also known as H5N1 virus, in some of poultry farms in Kathmandu, the concerned authorities have adopted high alertness to check the deadly decease.

As bird flu was detected first at a poultry form at Tarakeshwor municipalty-7 of Kathmandu, the concerned offices and municipalities of the valley have said to have initiated consultation to coordinate each other to check the decease.  

Public awareness programs have to be launched to ban on the import of chicken, eggs, feeds and other poultry products from the major check points. 

However, no decision is taken yet to this effect though the officials have claimed to have adopted high alert. General public seem to have afraid with the detection of the deadly decease as no decision is made yet to sell the chicken meats.
