Kathmandu, Nepal: The Nepali Congress (NC) lawmakers have demanded action against Jhapa-based B&C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Center’s executive director Durga Prasad Prasai for making discourteous remarks about Nepali female students studying MBBS in Bangladesh.

Speaking at the Parliament meeting on Monday, NC lawmakers demanded immediate action against Prasai. The NC lawmakers also questioned to the government about the nature of action with time table.

B&C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Center’s executive director Prasai had said that Nepali women studying MBBS in Bangladesh were forced to sleep with their professors to get medical degrees. The controversial remark is widely circulated in different social media.

The demand of the NC lawmakers for the action against B&C Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Center’s executive director Prasai has come at the mean time when the people in general have also been demanding actions against Prasai through various social media.

However, the government has not taken any initiation for the action against Prasai.
