Kathmandu, Nepal: The ‘Asia Pacific Summit-2018’ kicked off at Hotel Hyatt in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, on Saturday morning.
The summit is being held with slogan of ‘Addressing Critical Challenges of Our Time: Interdependence, Mutual Prosperity and Universal Values.’
Heads of states and governments from six countries along with distinguished guests from other about two dozen countries are participating in the two-day conference.
According to the organizer, the summit will hold discussions on various contemporary issues concerning the world, specially the Asia pacific region.
Addressing the inaugural session, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli underlined the need to mark a common initiative for favorable justice, peace, equality, development and prosperity.
Highlighting the achievements of Nepal Prime Minister Oli said that Nepal entered a new phase of political stability following the successful conclusion of the three-tier elections held last year.
