Case filed against erstwhile Kanchanpur District Police Chief SP Bista and seven others on the charge of torturing and tampering evidence in Nirmala Panta rape and murder case

Dhangadhi, Nepal:  A case has been filed at the District Court on Thursday against erstwhile Kanchanpur District Police Chief SP Dilipraj Bista and seven other police personnel on the charge of torturing and tampering evidence in Nirmala Panta rape and murder case.
 
The police personnel involved in the case have been charged of torturing Dilip Singh Bista, dummy perpetrator and tampering evidence related to the murder and rape of Panta.
 
DSP duo Gyan Bahadur Sethi and DSP Ankur Joshi, Inspector Akendra Khadka along with SP Bista have been accused of torturing Dilip Singh Bista. Mentally retired Bista was arrested to parade him as the culprit behind the rape and murder case. 
 
Likewise, Inspector Jagdish Bhatta, Assistant Police Inspector Hari Singh Dhami, Ram Singh Dhami and Constable Chandani Saud have been charged with tampering evidence.
