Kathmandu, Nepal, April 4, 209: Election results of Nepal Bar Association (NBA), the umbrella organization of Nepalese lawyers, have come after three days of vote completion on Thursday evening.
According to the election committee of the NBA, senior advocate Chandeshwar Shrestha, who was the candidate of the ‘progressive lawyers’, has been elected as the chairperson of the NBA.
Shrestha has garnered three thousand four hundred 11 votes defeating his nearest contenders advocate Sunil Kumar Pokharel. Pokhel was the candidate from democratic lawyers association.
Meanwhile, Lila Mani Poudel has been elected as General Secretary of the NBA. Poudel is candidate of the democratic lawyers association.
