Kathmandu, Nepal: Chief Justice (CJ) Gopal Prasad Parajuli has been relieved of the responsibility.
The Judiciary Council has sent the letter of his relieved of the post to him rightly after he was administering the oath of office and secrecy to the re-elected President Bidya Devi Bhandari amid a function at Sheetal Niwas.
The letter sent to the CJ Parajuli in the sign of secretary of the Council, Nrip Dhwaj Niraula states that Parajuli should have retired on August 5, 2017 on the basis of the certificate submitted during assumption of service.
However, the Office of the Controller of Exams (OCE) had already issued a letter to the Judicial Council stating that Parajuli’s date of birth has been established as 2011/01/03.
