  Kathmandu, Nepal      July 07 2018

Kathmandu, Nepal: protesting the government’s apathy towards the demands of the agitating senior orthopedic doctor Govinda KC, a demonstration has been organized in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The demonstration that was begun from Maitighar andala converged into a corner meeting at New Baneshwar. Hundreds of thousand people from different walks of life have participated in the demonstration.

People as well as opposition parties have been organizing various protest program in support of KC, who is staging a fast-unto-death demanding reforms in medical sector in Jumla since last eight days.

But the government seems complete apathy towards the demand of the Dr. KC, thanks to the vested interests to allow operating the medical colleges run by the leaders and cadres of the government head Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

The National Medical Education Bill is presented again in the parliament by the government without any correcting even though the government had vowed to make correction to address the rightful demands of Dr. KC.
