Five Killed, Eight Injured in Sindhuli Jeep Accident

Sindhuli, Nepal: At least five people killed and eight others injured when a passenger jeep met with an accident at Chande Bhanjyang of Fikkal rural municipality-2 of Sindhuli district on Thursday.
The ill-fated jeep with registration umber Ba 15 Cha 9422, which was heading to Sindhuligadi from Mahadev Dada, met with the accident when driver tried to stop the jeep in a downhill road. 
As the driver lost control, the jeep had plunged head-on about 200 meters down the eyewitnesses have said. 
It is said that four people died on the spot while another succumbed to injuries while rushing to a nearby hospital. Injured eight other passengers including the driver are undergoing treatment at Khurkot Hospital.   
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Kun Man Tamang 65, Til Maya BK, 56, Laxmi BK, 50, Anita Mahat, 25 and Shanti Maya Shrestha. All the deceased were from Fikkal Rural Municipality-3.
