Citwan, Nepal: Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has vowed to take action against the Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist leaders and cadres including the arrested one spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma, aka ‘Prakanda’ under the criminal act.
Speaking at a press meet jointly organized by Press Chautari and Press Centre Chitwan here at Bharatpur Airport on Friday, Minister Thapa, who is also the former leader of the erstwhile Maoist, said anyone involve in the criminal activities will not let free.
As the government has the responsibility of controlling the criminal activities, Prakanda was arrested on the charge of involving in the criminal activities, Thapa said adding that Prakanda found to have violated the law by involving in extortion, coercion and other various violent activities.
Chanda-led CPN Maoist spokesperson Prakanda and two others were arrested from Dakshinkali, Kathmandu on Tuesday while they were returning in Kathmandu from Hetauda. We have no matter whoever involved in the crime, will not let free, he said.
