Kathmandu, Nepal, June 13, 2019: Lawmakers even from the ally of the incumbent government have demanded action against Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lal Babu Pandit.
Alleging him of undermining the Parliamentary State Affairs Committee's recent order related to vacancy announcements made by the Public Service Commission (PAC) at local levels, Lawmakers even raised moral question to remain in the post.
Speaking at a Parliament session on Thursday, lawmakers from the Samajbadi Party Nepal- Pradeep Yadav and Umashankar Argariya demanded action against Minister Pandit.
As Minister delivered the public remarks against the SAC's order, he should be taken action immediately, lawmaker yadav said. Minister Pandit had flayed publicly against of the order even rising questions over the morality and legality of the order.
The parliamentary committee had directed the government to scrap the vacancy announcements made by the Public Service Commission at local levels terming it as against the spirit of the inclusiveness.
The PSC on May 29 had announced vacancies for 9,161 civil servants in various positions at 515 various local units.
