Lucky Sherpa steps down from the post of Ambassador to Australia

Kathmandu, Nepal: Finally, Lucky Sherpa has stepped down as the Ambassador to Australia on Friday. Issuing a press statement, she has confirmed her resignation from the post. 
In the press statement, she has accused the media of providing biased and defamatory news stories defaming her image rather than clarifying about the allegations. 
Following the controversies, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepal Communist Party co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal had suggested her to resign from the post.
Likewise the three-member panel formed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the allegations had also recommended relieving her from her duties.
Ambassador Sherpa was dragged into controversies after her former driver Wongchhu Sherpa had accused her and her husband of involving in human trafficking to Australia.
