Nepal government fixes places for protest in Kathmandu

Kathmandu, Nepal: The most popular public place for protest in Kathmandu, Maitighar Mandala, is banned to protest by the government. 

According to the District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu, the decision comes into effect from April 29. 

With the decision to ban the Maitighar Mandela to protest the DAO Kathmandu has allocated seven places for protest. 

The spaces namely Khula Manch, Kathmandu, Open Ground of Tinkune, Bhuikhel Chaur of Bhagawanpaau, Sports ground of Pepsicola, Football ground of Sano Gaucharan, open space in front of Social Welfare Council, Lainchaur and Sifal Chaur of Gaushala are allocated for the protest in Kathmandu. 

The DAO Kathmandu has said that the decision was taken respecting to the directives of the Home Ministry regarding the law and order of the city.
