Nepali Congress cadre shot dead by NCP cadres on political issue in Sarlahi district

Sarlahi, Nepal: Rautahat district remained tense on Monday after main opposition Nepali Congress’s cadres shot dead by the government head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) cadres in Ramnagar Rural Municipality of Sarlahi district on Tuesday. 

Nepali Congress’s cadre Ram Bilas Mahato was shot at around 8:00 am this morning, died during the course of treatment on Tuesday afternoon, police said. 

According to the police, NCP cadres had opened fire following a violent clash between the cadres of both the sides. 

It is said that the incident had ensued after NCP cadres attacked ward chair Ram Naresh Mahato, who is the nephew of deceased Ram Bilas, on Monday over some political issues. The issue had led to the violent clash between the two sides.
