Nepali Congress imposes general strike at Dhading against attack on its leaders and cades

Dhading, Nepal: Protesting the attack against the Nepali Congress leaders and cadres including the newly elected Jwalamukhi Village Council chairman Binod Timilsena, Dhading district is shut down by the Nepali Congress on Sunday. 

Timalsena and his team were attacked on Saturday evening while they were returning at home after attending a victorious rally organized by the party at the village council. 

It is alleged that the CPN UML cadres led by Ram Prasad Dhikar had attacked, while the congress leaders and cadres were staying at a local hotel. Timalsena has received deep injuries in his head.

Adhikari had lost the elections with Timalsena during the first phase of local level elections held on May 14.  The Nepali Congress Dhading has been protesting in the district demanding immediate arrest of the attackers.
