Kathmandu, Nepal: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed three office bearers amid a protest from another rival faction led by party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel.
Party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting held at party office, Sanepa, Lalitpur on Friday made the decision amid the boycott of another senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel led faction.
The meeting had decided to pick Bimalendra Nidhi as Vice-President, Purna Bahadur Khadka as General Secretary and Prakash Sharan Mahat as Joint General Secretary during the.
The appointment of some office bearers is made just two months ahead from the Mahasamiti meeting and about 26 months after the general convention.
Rival faction has alleged that the appointment made on Friday was against the Party’s statute and process.
