Separate writes filed at SC against government’s rolling back from its decision to check use of pesticides in the vegetables and fruits imported from India

Kathmandu, Nepal, July 9, 2019: A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the government for rolling back from its decision to check use of pesticides in the vegetables and fruits imported from India.

Advocates Swagat Nepal and Narayan Prasad Duwadi filed the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) at the SC on Tuesday. 

The petitioners have demanded immediate issue of an order to test the fruits and vegetables imported from India considering to the rights of the people.

Likewise, other two writs have also been filed at the SC demanding order to check use of pesticides in the vegetables and fruits imported from India.  

Kanchan Krishna Neupane and Bishnu Timalsina of Consumer Protection Forum have filed the separate case against of the government’s rollback decision.
