Kathmandu, Nepal: CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has made clear that his party is ready to quit the government if Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said so.
Our party is not in favor of toppling the government even though we have agreed to forge electoral alliance with the main opposition CPN UML, CPN Maoist Chairman Dahal said while talking in a parliamentary party meeting on Saturday morning.
Our alliance with CPN-UML for upcoming elections and subsequent unification is the broader strategy to make one single communist center in Nepal, but not targeted to anyone or change the government, he said.
We would like to reassure that our electoral alliance would not affect government because change of the government at this juncture would hamper the elections, former Primer Dahal said.
At the same time he also made clear that his party has no any problem even to quit the government.  If Prime Minister Deuba tells to quit from the current coalition government, we are ready for this, he said.
