Kathmandu, Nepal: Former Secretary Yuvaraj Bhusal has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA).
A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Bhusal as NRA Chief. The post was remained vacant after Govinda Pokharel resigned from the post.
The cabinet meeting also accepted the resignation of former CEO Pokhrel.
Pokhrel has resigned from the post to vie in the upcoming election in the post of parliamentarian from the Pyuthan district.
Newly appointed NRA CEO Bhusal considered as the experienced personality in the bureaucracy. He had served various government offices since he had made an entry to the government job as a section officer on 1980. He had got retired from the bureaucracy as Finance Secretary on 2014.
Responding to the media concerns after his appointment, Bhusal made a commitment to expedite the reconstruction works particularly the historical monuments in Kathmandu and other places.
