Baglung, Nepal: 22nd National Women's Volleyball Tournament is going to begin from today (Tuesday) in the district. The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) has said on Monday that all the necessary preparation for the tournament has already completed.
According to the NVA, total 10 groups including three departmental teams from all seven provinces will participate in the tournament. The competition will continue for five days.
The organizer has estimated that approximately Rs 2 million will be the cost of the tournament. Galkot Municipality of the district has provided the financial support for the tournament.
According to the NVA Baglung president Yam Bahadur Srish, the winner will receive Rs 50,000 in cash, while first runner-up Rs 30,000 and second runner-up Rs 20,000. Likewise, Rs 10,000 will be handed over to the best player.
The best 24 players will have chance to play practice matches for their entry into the national team.
