 Kathmandu, Nepal, July 18, 2022: API Power Company Pvt Ltd is going to develop green hydrogen projects totalling 50 MW across Nepal by 2025 in collaboration with the Indian renewable consultancy and project developr, GreenZo Energy Pvt Ltd.


Both the companies have signed in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect. Satish Neupane, Chairman of Api Power Company, Nepal and Shreya Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GreenZo Energy Company, India signed in the MoU. 

As per the MoU, the API will invest USD 125.2m in the construction of the project. It is believed that it can generate 4,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. It is said that the company will establish a green hydrogen plant with a capacity of one megawatt using the water discharge from the 8.5 Mw Naugarh hydroelectric plant located in Darchula.
