Minister Bhatta vows to curb black-marketing of goods

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 10, 2020: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta has claimed that there is no shortage of daily commodities in the market but confesses of price hike. Addressing a function in the capital on Monday, Minister Bhatta also vowed to curb black-marketing.

During the function, he also urged one and all to abandon the psychology that the country is not making any import from third countries. The goods are being imported as usual though the government has adopted strict precautionary measures considering to the situation that the deadly coronavirus may spread in the country, he said. 

Hike in the price of the daily commodities are normal phenomenon when there is a high demand for goods in the market, Minister Bhatta said. Likewise, he also revealed that goods imported from the different countries are to be kept at the border points for a few days to avoid the viral outbreak in the country.
