Kathmandu, Nepal: Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Mukesh Raj Kafle has resigned from his post on Friday.
Though Kafle has not mentioned specific reason behind his decision to tender resignation it is said that he resigned due to differences with the Energy Minisster Janardan Sharma.
Kafle tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Previous government formed under the leadership late Sushil Koirala had appointed Kafle as the executive head of NEA.
As his resignation would sour relations with the coalition partner Nepali Congress, which is also the largest party in the parliament, the resignation is not approved yet.
