Kathmandu, Nepal, February 8, 2020: Nepal-France Bilateral Consultation Mechanism (BCM) meeting has been concluded through the virtual means on Monday. This is the second BCM meeting between Nepal and France.
Issuing a press statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has stated that discussions were held on wide range of issues related to the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.
In the Nepali delegation led by Nirmal Raj Kafle, Joint Secretary for Europe and the Americas at the MoFA, officials from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ministry of Forest and Environment and Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation were also comprised.
Likewise, Bertland Lortholary, Director for Asia and Oceania at the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs had led the French delegation during the talks.
During the meeting both the sides exchanged views on the overall state of bilateral relations between the two countries stressing in the importance of the high-level visits and interactions to promote the agendas of common interest, reads the press release.
