Kathmandu, Nepal, January 25, 2020: The NEPSE index has been making new records in recent days. The NEPSE index has gained 16.04 points and closed at 2,440.87 points on Monday. This is the highest closing-ever in the history of NEPSE.
Though the NEPSE index has been breaking records and creating new highs for a long, there is no sign to end the hiking pace. A total of 6 companies have technically hit a 10 percent positive circuit.
19,285,504 shares were traded via 72,773 transactions bringing total 208 scrips with Rs. 8.90 Arba turnovers during the four hours long trading period. The float index has gained 1.11 points to close at 166.49 while the sensitive index was 451.82 losing 0.24 points.
Though the NEPSE index was opened at 2,447.01 on Monday, it went high at 2,456.22 points and closed at 2,440.87. Fluctuation in trading was seen during the entire trading hours on Monday.
Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited (NLIC) has emerged as the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 60.37 crores while shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) were traded the most on Monday. Similarly, Shree Investment Finance Company Limited (SIFC) lost the most 6.98 percent.
