Kathmandu, Nepal, June 22, 2021:As the government allowed plying private vehicles including taxis with odd-even registration numbers as per the Nepali calendar from Monday, popular ride-sharing services in Nepal- Tootle and Pathao are also going to restart their services in the Kathmandu valley from today.
Ride-sharing services- Tootle and Pathao have sent message to the concerned customers regarding resumption of their services from Tuesday. Operations of their services had been suspended following the imposition of prohibitory orders on April 29 owing to the surge of coonavirus infection.
District Administration Offices (DAOs) of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur had on Sunday decided to extend the ongoing prohibitory period relaxations for operations of vehicles as well as businesses in a specified date and time frame.
As per the new provision made regarding the implementation of the prohibitory order, private vehicles and taxis were ply on odd and even basis on Monday.
The government has allowed open jewelry, automobile, electronics and home appliances related shops on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday while shopping malls, and other clothes, tailoring, shoes /sports, and cosmetics/gifts/ boutiques related shops are allowed to operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
