Twelve International Airlines To Resume Flights From August 17
  Kathmandu, Nepal      August 04 2020

Kathmanndu, Nepal, August 4, 2020: Only a dozen international airlines have shown interest to resume flights from the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), the only international airport of Nepal. Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has stated that twelve international airlines have applied so far to start the flights from August 17 in different destinations.

The CAAN had already issued a notice demanding a notification from the international airlines intending to resume flight service from TIA. The Nepal government had already decided to resume flights from August 17 ending the ban on flights imposed earlier to contain the spreading fear of coronavirus.

The government had made the decision to resume the stalled flight service with the end of nationwide lockdown.  However, the spread of coronavirus has taken a nasty turn with spiking cases after the end of lockdown.
