Kathmandu, Nepal, May 22, 2021: coronavirus infection cases have advanced to 505,643 crossing the 500,000 marks in Nepal after 8591 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 6153 after 129 more deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
Similarly, 8848 people, who were infected earlier with the virus, have been discharged after recovery. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 383,684.
Of the newly recorded infection cases from across the country, 1,811 infections cases were reported in Kathmandu district alone.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 328 cases have been reported in Lalitpur while 179 cases reported in Bhaktapur districts.
There are currently 115,803 active cases of coronavirus from across the country. Of them, only 886 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
