Kathmandu, Nepal, September 11, 2020:  Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally has reached to 51,919 after 1,454 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.  This is the highest number of infections reported on a single day.

Dr. Jageshowr Gautam, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population ( MoHP) said during a regular press briefing on Friday that 1,454 new cases of coronavirus  detected through 10,701 PCR tests conducted at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours

Likewise, he also revealed that 932 people, who were tested positive in the past, have discharged after recovery. With the new addition, total recovery cases have reached to 36, 672 in Nepal.

With the new update, he also stated that there are 14, 925 active cases of infection in the country while 6,078 people are under quarantine.

Likewise, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 322 after five more fatalities were registered on Friday.
