Kathmandu, Nepal, October 09, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 100,676 after 2,059 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHA), among the newly recorded cases, 1,409 were from Kathmandu Valley alone.

Likewise, 1,680 people, who had infected with the virus, have been discharged after recoveries in the last 24-hours. With the new updates, total recovery cases have reached to 73,023 in Nepal.

There are 27,053 active cases across the country. Among them, 4,703 people are placed in quarantine facilities in the various parts across the country, states the ministry.

Similarly, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus reached to 600 after ten new fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours.
