Kathmandu, Nepal, December 2o, 2021: The Covid-19 medical equipments supported by the British Army to the Nepali Army have arrived in Nepal on Monday. 

Colonel Paul Smith, Defence Attaché & Commander British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) handed over the medical equipments to Technical Colonel Dr. Moon Thapa of the Nepali Army amid a function at the same day on Monday.

As per the pledge made by the British Army, the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) C-17 landed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu on Monday with the medical equipments package.

Owing to the spreading threat of COVID-19, the Nepali Army had made a request to the British Army for the Covid-19 medical support package on May last year.

According to the Military Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Nepal Army the medical equipment package includes automatic PCR equipment and oxygen concentrators.
