Ainaa Jhyal Ko Putali Recommended For The Oscars Award-2023

 Kathmandu, Nepal, September 20, 2022:The International Feature Film Selection Committee of Nepal has recommended the film 'Aaina Jhyal Ko Putali' for the 95th edition of the Oscar Awards. The Oscars is going to be held on March 12, 2023 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.


A meeting of the committee held on Monday decided to recommend the film ‘Aaina Jhyal Ko Putali,’ which was directed by Sujit Bidari.  Earlier, the committee had asked the filmmakers, who are interested in joining the Oscar competition, to submit their films by September 15.

Different three films- ‘Radha’ directed by Subarna Thapa, ‘Prakash’ directed by Dinesh Raut along with the ‘Aaina Jhyal Ko Putali’ directed by Bidari had applied for participation in the Oscars from Nepal.

The committee has decided to recommend the film considering to the technical aspect of cinema, presentation of story, the emotional analysis of the characters and the artistry of the presentation.
