KATHMANDU, Aug 22: Nepali film producer and director DB Thapa has passed away at 11:45 am on Monday. He was 83.

Thapa was undergoing treatment for past 11 days at the Norvic International Hospital in the capital.

He had produced films like Naso, Shree Swasthani, Maili and had directed Maya-Preeti, Jeevan- Jyoti, Dharti-Akash among other several Nepali movies.

Among them, Jeevan-Jyoti and Dharti-Akash were joint-venture movies produced together with producers from Sri-Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. RSS
