Veteran Musician Gurung seriously ill, put in ventilator

Kathmandu, Nepal: Veteran Musician Ambar Gurung, 78 has been put on ventilator from Friday morning after his health condition deteriorated. He was admitted at the Dhapasi-based Grande International Hospital.
 
According to the health officials involved in the treatment of Gurung, he was fell unconscious on Thursday night and now fighting for his life.  
 
The 78 year old Gurung was rushed to the hospital on Thursday night after he fell unconscious after his heart stopped beating all of sudden as he grew cough. 
 
He is suffering from different ailments including pneumonia diabetes and Parkinson. 
 
He was born in 1938 in Darjeeling of India. He has contributed in the field of music. He has composed scores of Nepali songs including the national anthem ‘Sayau Thunga Fulka Hami Yeutai Mala Nepali…..’
