Kathmandu, Nepal, July 14, 2021: The government has on Wednesday allocated Rs 5 billion for the Ministry of Health and Population to procure COVID-19 vaccines.
Following the commitment made by the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to vaccinate one-third of the population of the country by mid-October and vaccinate the entire eligible population by the end of 2078 BS, finance minister Janardan Sharma decided to provide Rs 5 billion to procure COVID-19 vaccines to the Ministry.
Likewise, the Finance Ministry has also decided to allocate necessary budget to the hospitals operated by federal, provincial and local governments to fight against of the COVID-19.
