Coronavirus infection cases increased after government eased the lockdown, 315 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, August 1, 2020: It has shown that number of coronavirus infection rates have drastically been increasing in the country after government eased the lockdown imposed earlier to contain the spread of the virus.   

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 315 new cases of coronavirus have recorded across the country in past 24 hours. With the new records of coronavirus, Nepal’s total ally has reached to 20,086.

During the regular press conference spokesperson Gautam said that 315 new cases of coronavirus confirmed while conducting 6,993 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests in various laboratories across the country in the past 24 hours.

Likewise, 93 people, who earlier tested positive for the virus, have returned to their home on Saturday after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the new recovery cases, Nepal’s total recovery cases have reached to 14,492.
