Kathmandu, Nepal, February 18, 2021: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advances to 273,166 after 96 new cases reported in the past 24 hours on Thursday.
Of the total newly infected cases, 42 are females while 54 are males.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Kathmandu Valley alone witnessed 42 new cases out of total 96 infected cases in the past 24 hours.
Likewise, 111 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.
With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 269,505.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has advanced to 2,058 with three fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 1,603 active cases across the country. Of them, only 71 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities established in different parts of the country.
