Kathmandu, Nepal, March 31, 2021: Nepal has on Wednesday recorded 162 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With the new addition, the nationwide infection tally has advanced to 277,309.
Of the newly infected cases, 50 cases reported in Kathmandu district alone.
Likewise, with the 28 new infection cases, Kaski district has become second to recorded the highest number of coronavirus infection cases in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 59 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, recovery tally of the country has advanced to 272,786.
There are currently 1,493 active cases across the country. Of the total infected cases, only 59 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
No fatalities related to the virus have been recorded in the past 24 hours. Death toll due to the infection of coronavirus has already advanced to 3,030.
