Coronavirus infection tally of the country advances to 271,602 after 171 cases reported in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu, Nepal, January 4, 2020: coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally of the country has advances to 271,602 after 171 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), of the total infected cases, 59 are females while 112 are males.

Likewise, Kathmandu valley alone reported 78 cases in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total infected cases in Kathmandu valley alone advances to 1,358.

Similarly, 227 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 267,292.

There are currently 2,277 active cases of coronavirus in the country. Of them, 92 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advances to 2033 after two more fatalities related to the virus reported in the past 24 hours.
