Kathmandu, Nepal, April 29, 2021: coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 317,350 after 4831 new cases reported from across the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly infected cases, 1,714 are females while 3,117 are males, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said while revealing about the daily update of coronavirus situations of the country.
Likewise, Nepal has on Thursday reported 35 fatalities related to the coronavirus infection. This is the highest ever death toll due to the infection of coronavirus in the country since the virus detected in the country. With the addition, death toll of the country has advanced to 3264.
According to the MoHP, 4831 cases were reported while conducting 13,560 tests through the antigen and PCR tests from different labs across the country.
Of the total infected, Kathmandu district alone holds 1,127 cases while Lalitpur and Bhaktapur districts reported 252 and 182 new cases respectively.
Likewise, the MoHP has also stated that 888 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after they got recovered in the past 24 hours. With the addition total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 280,167 which are equal to 88.2 percent.
There are currently 34,117 active cases across the country. Of them only 59 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
