Kathmandu, Nepal, September 07, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus infection tally reached to 47,236 after 979 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has revealed so during the virtual press conferences on Monday.
Of the newly recorded infected cases 338 are females while 641 are males, Dr. Jageshowr Gautam, spokesperson for the MoPH said. According to him, of the newly recorded cases, 326 were from Kathmandu Valley alone.
Likewise, 1,736 people, who were tested positive earlier, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, total recovery cases have reached to 30,677 in the country.
As of Monday, there are 16,259 active cases of infection in the country while 4,739 people are under quarantine.
The death toll due to the infection of coronnavirus reached to 300 after 11 fatalities registered in the past 24 hours.
