Coronavirus virus infection and recovery tally advances to 275,310 and 271,401 respectively

Kathmandu, Nepal, March 15, 2021: Nepal has reported only 79 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country in the past 24 hours on Monday. With the new addition, the nationwide infection tally has advanced to 275,310.

Of the newly infected cases, 41 cases were reported from Kathmandu valley alone. Of them, 27 were in Kathmandu, 10 were in Lalitpur and four were in Bhaktapur. 

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 75 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 271,401.

Nepal reported no coronavirus related fatalities even on Monday. The death toll due to the infection of virus has already advanced 3,014 though Nepal has not reported death due to the infection of coronavirus since few days.

There are currently 895 active cases of coronavirus across the country. Of them, only 44 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities. 

According to the Ministry 3,311 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. As of Monday, 2,218,722 PCR tests have been carried out to check the coronavirus.
