Kathmandu, Nepal, May 23, 2020: Total numbers of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases have jumped to 548 with 32 new positive cases identified on Saturday.
According to the ministry of health and population, among the newly identified cases, 13 males aged of 18 to 42 from Godautha Kabilasi Municipality of Sarlahi district, a 37 year-old female from Karaiyamai Rural Municipality of Bara district and a 35 year-old male from Kathmandu tested positive for the virus.
Likewise, eight persons, among them seven males aged of 17 to 42 and a 27-year old female from Banganga Municipality in Kapilvastu district, diagnosed with this disease while conducting swab samples test at the Kathmandu based National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL).
Similarly, eight male patients aged of 20 55 have been identified from Gaidahawa and Rohini Rural Municipality in Rupandehi district while conducting tests at the Bhairahawa-based Provincial lab. Another 52-year old man from Bharatpur-6, Chitwan has also been diagnosed with the virus while conducting tests at Bharatpur-based COVID-19 lab.
